The National Park is named from the 'legend' of the naming of the seven cascades that flow through the 28 square kilometre park, after seven sisters that drowned in the river.
At the entrance to this section of the cascades is a large 'market place' for a selection of local cuisine. The Visitors Center hires out tyre inner tubes for drifting down the river.
Caution is required, as though the river seems very languid outside of monsoon times (when the park is closed), at each cascade the flow picks up, and on the downstream side of the cascade/waterfall the river is very deep.
Many of the cascades are only a metre, or two, high.
There are Life-guards stationed, who ensure safe behaviour.
Postcards of the National Park can be bought here, with leaflets available on other local attractions - including the ATV Adventure Camp, just down the road, where rafting, paintball, and ATV adventures can be had.
