The Indian black granite sculpture on a white granite base was an entrant in the 2014 "Sculptures by the Sea" exhibition on Cottesloe Beach and was purchased by the Town of Cottesloe as part of their evolving collection for permanent display for the public to enjoy.
On the bottom of the accompanying plaque is the statement :-
"In Japan, an arrow is a talisman that shoots and protects against evil spirits. Thw work is inspired by the image of a flaming arrow which breaks through darkness."
