The Tom Thompson Trail is a non-motorized multi-use trail that stretches from Meaford to Owen Sound. It is about 42 km in length, with some highway sections.
The Trail is a three-season trail - Spring, Summer and Fall. Winters are unpredictable, but usually come with extremes in temperature and snowfall, so the Trail is officially closed.
This particular YAH is located at the trail access off the 9th Line (Grey CR 112 on some maps) and Side Road 22 west of Meaford. The trail continues east on pavement. West of here, the trail is on maintained trail bed.
