EN: A fountain, made of three cuboidal marble blocks, is one of the central elements of the square in front of the Roman Catholic church of Möhlin.
The whole fountain is about three meters long. The water flows from a square basin through a curved groove to a circular basin. The way of the water symbolizes the way of life.
I could neither find the year of its creation nor the artist. The fountain, however, looks much newer than the church, which dates from 1938.
DE: Ein Brunnen aus drei quaderförmigen Marmorblöcken ist eines der zentralen Elemente des Platzes vor der römisch-katholischen Kirche von Möhlin.
Der ganze Brunnen ist rund drei Meter lang. Das Wasser fliesst aus einem quadratischen Trog durch eine geschwungene Rille zu einem kreisförmigen Trog. Der Weg des Wassers symbolisiert den Weg des Lebens zu seinem Ziel.
Ich konnte weder den Jahrgang des Brunnens noch den Künstler herausfinden. Der Brunnen scheint aber einiges jünger zu sein als die Kirche, die aus dem Jahr 1938 stammt.
