Douglas Corporation Electric Power Station on North Quay in Douglas was the first municipal power station on the Isle of Man and first provide a pulbic supply on 18th May 1923.
Built by Douglas Corporaton in 1923 this power station was equipped with four diesel gernerators which could produce a total output of 615kw.
The foundation stone for the building bears the following inscription:

MAYOR OF DOUGLAS
ON THE 20TH DAY OF DECEMBER 1922
