Modern Court buildings. Houses both Magistrates & County Courts.
Concentrates on criminal rather than civil cases. Serving both the North-Western part of Worcestershire and the local Wyre Forest District.
Kidderminster is a large town in the Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire, England. It is located approximately 17 miles south-west of Birmingham and approximately 15 miles north of Worcester.
At one time there were over 30 carpet manufactures in Kidderminster, now reduced to single figures. The local paper is called the Shuttle as a link to the carpet looms in the factories.
The Wyre Forest District includes the Georgian town of Bewdley & the Canal town of Stourport-on-Severn and also includes the eponymous forest. Although now the Wyre Forest has been much deforested, it still extends from Shatterford almost to Cleobury Mortimer and from Upper Arley to Areley Kings. It is one of the largest remaining ancient woodlands in Britain.
