One of two figurative squid sculptures in Seattle that also act as bike racks. Hmm...

When our family parked across the street from Seattle Aquarium we noticed this metallic sculpture of a squid. We just assumed it was part of the art promoting the aquarium. Little did I realize until I got back to the hotel room and looked it up on the internet that it is in fact a sculpture AND bike rack! There was no plaque near the sculpture or sign to encourage people to park their bikes on the sculpture so I have to wonder how practical this bike rack really is.

Visit the artist's website which describes this sculpture.
