Former Police Station - Port Erin, Isle of Man - Police Stations on Waymarking.com

The former Police Station on Station Road in Port Erin. Since closure the Southern Neighbourhood Polcing Tema based in Castletown had been responsible for policing the village.

The old police station in Port Erin is now a multi-purpose staff development centre.

The building is used for training for personnel from across the Department of Home Affairs.The training delivers a wide range of community-focused services including the Isle of Man Constabulary, Fire and Rescue Service, Prison and Probation Service, Emergency Communications and Emergency Planning.

Three police officers are located at the building and are responsible for training new recruits and providing extra training for experienced officers.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
