Das vom Plaidter Geschichtsverein angelegte Feld zeigt Basaltsteine, die früher in der Gemarkung zur Begrenzung der Äcker und Wiesen gebräuchlich waren. Sie tragen Nummern oder sind mit Hausmarken versehen, um den Zeitgenossen eindeutige Hinweise über die Eigentumsverhältnisse zu geben. Hausmarken sind in der Regel Zeichen für Familien, mit denen Häuser, Werkzeuge, Hausgeräte, Grabplatten, Mehlsäcke, Tiere oder eben Flurgrenzen gekennzeichnet wurden. Sie dienten auch als Unterschrift für die des Schreibens Unkundigen.

[EN] "Corridor and boundary stone field
The field laid by the Plaid History Association shows basalt stones, which were formerly used in the district to limit the fields and meadows. They carry numbers or are marked with house marks, in order to give their contemporaries clear indications of the property relations. House marks are usually signs for families with which houses, tools, household appliances, grave slabs, flour sacks, animals or even floor boundaries have been marked. They also served as a signature for those who did not write.
