Our family had the pleasure of enjoying a brunch cruise with Waterways Cruises and Events around Lake Washington. While we ate, we toured most of Lake Washington and the captain commented on out points-of-interest over a speaker. Some of these points-of-interest included the University of Washington, A floating highway bridge, the homes of Bill Gates of Micrsoft and Jeff Bezos of Amazon, The movie setting of
Sleepless in Seattle, The Space Needle, and a large church cathedral up on a hill that contains a large pipe organ.
The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the views were wonderful, even if it was a little rainy (what do you expect... this is Seattle!).
This particular tour is one of a number of cruises offered by the company and begins in Lake Union at Waterways Homeport. You travel from Lake Union to Lake Washington through a narrow water passage. The boat we traveled on is called the Emerald Star, the largest of the fleet.
