[EN] The origin of the building dates back to the end of the 15th century. On a piece of land that did not cease to extend until the 19th century, various buildings were established.
The long façade on the rue de Wissocq shows, in a perfect homogeneity, the know-how of the masons of Au- domarois over a period of a century (1778-1880).
The neo-Gothic chapel of the 1860s is perpendicular to the street.
The Community building, at the end of the 18th century, runs parallel to the flégard, the remains of medieval roads.
The St. Francis building is the only surviving of the convent of the Filles Repenties, and it contains, in addition to archaeological traces of older buildings, an interesting lingerie which retains its original provisions.
This set of buildings may seem a priori heterogeneous. However, it has entered the plot of land consistently over the centuries, with a concern for architectural quality always present. It is the memory of the history of the hospitals of Saint-Omer.
