Gothic-Renaissance House N° 11 (dum c.p. 11), located in Pernstein Street (Pernštýnská ulice), belongs among the most valuable historical buildings in Pardubice' Old Town.
House' ground floor with late-Romanesque barrel-vaulted passage is most likely linked to the oldest city' urbanisation period - the period of Archbishop of Prague, Arnošt of Pardubice (1330-1340). The building was reconstructed several times - first was probably late-Gothic rebuilding after fire in 1507. From that period originate unique Gothic figural frescoes in several small front-facade niches, unveiled during puristic reconstruction in 1975. The decorated terracotta window frames of the second floor come from the Renaissance repairs after another fire in 1538. The house reflects the entire architectural development of the Pardubice' Old Town, from Romanesque to Renaissance via Gothic, which is the key style giving to the building its unique look.
