One of the giant benches that were donated by BLKB on occasion on the 150th anniversary.

EN: This oversized bench was donated by the Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank ("bench" and "bank" is spelled the same in German). On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, it set up a resting place in each of the five districts of the canton, which contain, in addition to fire places, firewood and seats and tables, also a huge bench in the size of about four to eight meters. The resting place in the Sissach district is located in the woods at the foot of the castle ruin Homburg. The bench is about four meters high, a normal adult can barely stand under the seat. Since I was alone during my visit, I at least put my hiking bag next it to have a comparison object.
In addition, 150 normal-sized benches in the same design were set up in all the municipalities of the canton. The small benches all have a year between 1864 and 2014, the large copies not, but they have all different colors.
DE: Diese überdimensionale Sitzbank wurde von der Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank gestiftet. Aus Anlass ihres 150jährigen Bestehens richtete sie in jedem der fünf Bezirke des Kantons einen Rastplatz ein, der neben Feuerstelle, Brennholz und Sitzgelegenheiten auch eine grosse Sitzbank von etwa vier auf acht Metern ein. Der Rastplatz im Bezirk Sissach befindet sich im Wald unterhalb der Burgruine Homburg. Die Bank ist rund vier Meter hoch, ein normal grosser Erwachsener kann gerade knapp nicht unter der Sitzfläche stehen. Da ich bei meinem Besuch allein war, habe ich wenigstens meinen Wanderrucksack zum Grössenverleich davor gelegt.
Daneben wurden noch 150 normalgrosse Sitzbänke im selben Design auf alle Gemeinden des Kantons verteilt, die kleinen Bänke tragen eine Jahreszahl zwischen 1864 und 2014, die grossen Exemplare nicht, diese sind aber alle verschieden gefärbt.
