Première halte française pour les oiseaux de passage en route pour leurs quartiers d’hiver, le Platier d’Oye est sans conteste un site ornithologique d’exception.
Il est également un havre de paix pour de nombreuses espèces de canards (sarcelles, siffleurs ou souchets).
