The painted vertical sundial can be found on the north gable of the building of the schools for the wood and the design (Schulen für Holz und Gestaltung)in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Due to its location the sundial are able to measure time only in the morning from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
