In one minute, 120 civilians were killed.
Large caliber bombs fell on the fire brigade.
Ten firefighters are killed including Gérard Tribouilloy and ten others are injured. This quote is all the more praiseworthy given that the Boulogne firefighters were volunteers.
Their funeral will be celebrated on August 18th. - Gérard Tribouilloy rests in the cemetery of the east of Boulogne, in the company of other fire-fighters killed during this bombing.

Dix pompiers sont tués dont Gérard Tribouilloy et dix autres sont blessés. Citation d'autant plus méritoire que les sapeurs-pompiers boulonnais étaient des bénévoles.
Leurs obsèques seront célébrées le 18 août. - Gérard Tribouilloy repose au cimetière de l'est de Boulogne, en compagnie d'autres sapeurs-pompiers tués lors de ce bombardement.
