The short lived Lord Street Police Station closed on 6th April 2016.

The Foundation Stone was laid by Hon Allan Bell MHK Minister for the Department of Home Affairs. Mr Bell had risen to be the Island's First Minister by the time the Police Station was closed.

The Building's foundation stone is inscribed as follows:
