EN: This sculpture of a giant fork stands in the middle of the roundabout in front of the Simplon Center in the west of Glis.
The fork is made of metal and about six meters high. Unfortunately, I could not find any details. Neither the artist nor the period of origin are known to me. The similarity to the well-known sculpture "Tribute to Food" near Vevey in the Lake Geneva is certainly not a coincidence.
DE: Diese Skulptur einer riesigen Gabel steht in der Mitte des Kreisverkehrs vor dem Simplon-Center im Westen von Glis.
Die Gabel ist aus Metall und etwa sechs Meter hoch. Leider konnte ich keine Details ausfindig machen. Weder der Künstler noch die Entstehungszeit sind mir bekannt. Die Ähnlichkeit zu der bekannten Skulptur "Tribute to Food" bei Vevey im Genfersee ist aber bestimmt kein Zufall.
