For years, a blank wall welcomed Texas State students and other visitors to San Marcos' downtown square. Club owner Brian Schofield wanted to change that.
“I wanted something that gave a sense of the whole San Marcos downtown area, something that was not just a big sign, a big advertisement,” he said. “Something that brought in San Marcos as a whole. Something iconic.”
To create his vision he turned to local graffiti artist David Perez.
“It turned out better than I had expected. Especially for someone who is a graffiti artist that’s working with spray paint,” Scofield said. “The amount of detail he was able to get on the sign itself, I was impressed.”
