Sponsored by the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana, the Centro Hispanoamericano de Cultura is dedicated to the cultural promotion, in all artistic manifestations, of Cuban and Hispano-American works.
The Hispano-American Center for Culture opened its doors for the first time on May 10, 2004. It focuses its work on the exaltation of the Cuban culture, mainly made up of the Iberian and African heritage. To achieve this goal, the Center has a dynamic program in which are preserved the spaces already known as Music in Images on the second Wednesday of each month and new ones are added as a literary reading book that takes place on alternate Tuesdays and is especially for children.
The permanent exhibition halls are the Cernuda Room, the Zambrano Room and the Room Dulce María Loynaz. On the second floor of the building is the library and media library, with a background of literature specializing in Hispano-American themes, electronic newsletters and serials and digital information.
Opening Hours Monday to Saturday: 9:30am to 5:00pm
