This mural was commissioned by the City of San Marcos in pursuit of honoring and paying tribute to both local and national veterans who have served in the American Armed Forces.

The names of the fallen or M.I.A. service men and women of Hays County within the first section of the mural. The imagery behind the names is a battlefield cross and paratroopers landing.
Then jets and a Marine in dress Uniform is next.
Then a close up of the Admiral Michelle Howard alongside an aircraft carrier, with sailors in the background.
Next is a close up of the Coast Guard dedicated section of the wall transitioning into the American Flag.
The last is of a soldier coming home and being greeted by his son.
