Vertical control mark W419 is located about 12 miles NE of Currant, Nevada, at the junction of U.S. Hwy. 6 and NV Hwy 379. The vertical control mark is steel rod under hinged cover about 43 feet NW of highway centerline. The mark was set by the National Geodetic Survey in 1984 and was marked W419 1984.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1984 19.2 KM (12.0 MI) NE FROM CURRANT. 19.25 KM (12.0 MI) NORTHEAST ALONG US HIGHWAY 6 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH STATE HIGHWAY 379 AT CURRANT, AT THE NORTHEAST END OF A DECOMPOSING RHYOLITE ROCK CUT, 12.9 METERS (42.5 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE HIGHWAY CENTERLINE, 20.1 METERS (66 FT) SOUTHWEST OF MILEPOST 130 AND 7.9 METERS (26 FT) WEST OF THE CENTER OF AN ABANDON HIGHWAY GRADE. NOTE--ROD WAS DRIVEN TO A DEPTH OF 2 FEET AND IS IMBEDDED IN THE RHYOLITE BEDROCK SEEN IN THE CUT. THE MARK IS 0.4 METERS NE FROM A WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS 0.3 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
