The plaza is a large circle in the center of town, where the traffic circles to the four main streets, N. & S. market, and N. & S. Main. Rising from the center of the plaza is a large clock and observation tower. Around the plaza are several brick walls (6 in all). Each wall carries the names of those who gave their lives from various wars. Behind the tower is a large flag pole, yet not as tall as the tower. The flag pole was presented by the Marion Jaycees. The plaza is well planted with shrubs and flowers, has a memorial to Gen. John Logan and a memorial to the ones killed in a bad tornado that came through this area.
