This mosaic is on New Road in Laxey. It is set into a stone wall outside The Laxey Blacksmiths premises.
This mosaic was created in 1995 to commemorate the Centenary of Laxey Parish Commissioners.
A plaque above the Mosaic is inscribed at follows:
MADE BY ALL THE CHILDREN
OF
LAXEY SCHOOL
AND
PRESENTED TO THE COMMISSIONERS
IN THEIR CENTENARY YEAR
SPONSORED BY PORTLAND DESIGNS LTD
The mosaic is made up of 18 square panels and depicts scenes from in and around Laxey.
'Laxey 1895-1995' is spelt out in white tiles on the left-hand side of the Mosaic.
