Benchmark V33 is located about 45 NE of Warm Springs, Nevada, at the junction of U.S. Hwy. 6 and NV Hwy 375. The cap is set in a rock outcrop at the north base of a hill about 55 feet SE of highway centerline. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey in 1933 and was marked V33.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1984 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION, NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. 70.55 KM (44.1 MI) NORTHEAST ALONG US HIGHWAY 6 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH STATE HIGHWAY 375 AT WARM SPRINGS, IN TOP OF THE SOUTHWEST END OF A 2 BY 3 FOOT PORTION OF GRAY OUTCROP, AT THE NORTH BASE OF A HILL, 2.7 KM (1.7 MI) SOUTHWEST OF THE SMALL COMMUNITY OF LOCKES, 17.2 METERS (56.5 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE HIGHWAY CENTERLINE, 104.1 METERS (341 FT) SOUTHWEST OF MILEPOST 95 AND 0.3 METERS (1 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST EDGE OF THE OUTCROP. THE MARK IS 0.3 METERS SW FROM A WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS 0.6 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
