So called Jesuit's Observatory (Jezuitská hvezdárna), originally Gothic fortification tower, was in Baroque period rebuilt by Litomerice Jusuits to observatory and lookout pavillon.
This western part of Gothic fortification of Litomerice with tower was built an 1360-1380. Later, in the 17th century, Jesuit convent with college was erected and attached to the fortification. The tower was rebuilt in Baroque style to the lookout pavillon (used also as astronomical observatory) in 1705.
