Václav Havel Park (Park Václava Havla), bearing the name of the last Czechoslovak and later Czech president, philosopher and writer Václav Havel, is newly estabilished (2008) public park in the historic centre of town Litomerice.
The Park, an oasis of peace in the town's centre covers an area of 8 401 m² and are there dozens of plant species. The dominant features are two ponds, spanned by a wooden bridge. In the park you can also visit a coffee shop with comfortable outdoor seating. The result of cooperation between the town of Litomerice and Endowment Fund Kalich is a bronze bust of Václav Havel sculpted by Alžbeta Kumstátová from Litomerice. The bust was ceremonially unveiled in presence of Dagmar Havel and several hundred Litomerice citizens in October 2012, almost year after former Czech President Vaclav Havel has died. The solar park bench which allows recharging phones and tablets, has a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for Internet access and also measures air quality was installed in the park in May 2016.
