Someone had managed to gather together about 60 farm implements and wagons and has decided to put them on display. The vast majority of the farm implements are very old horse drawn machines. The collection includes plows, cultivators, harrows, discs, mowers, corn planters, farm wagons, potato diggers and planters, a hay loader, a manure spreader and two road graders. The display is immediately north of the highway and appears to be accessible 24/7/365, at no charge.
An open gear John Deere Dain sickle mower, these appear to have been manufactured between 1910 and 1920. We can't really call this a sickle mower any more, as it is missing its sickle bar, among other things. Dain began business in the 1880s in Carrolltown, MO, eventually becoming absorbed by Deere & Co., now the John Deere Company. The Dain takeover took place around 1900, meaning that this mower would have been built not terribly long after that time. Doubtless worked hard for many years, it is now nothing more than a lawn ornament.
