St. Marien
ein Bau in Rheinischer Spätromanik, ist die katholische Pfarrkirche. Bereits 1337 wurde eine Kapelle an dieser urkundlich erwähnt. Die Grundsteinlegung für die heutige kath. Pfarrkirche erfolgte 1654 durch die Abtissin Anna Salomee. Der Bau begann erst im Jahre 1717 and wurde 1725 vollendet. Die Konsekration fand 1722 durch den Kölner Weihbischof Johann Werner de Veyder statt. Im Erweiterungsbau aus dem Jahr 1977 befindet sich ein gotisches Silberkreuz mit einer kostbaren Kreuzreliquie des Templerordens.
Noch heute ist der alte Kirchturm das Wahrzeichen der Stadt Bad Breisig.
St Mary's church, a building representing the Rhenish late-Romanesque period, is the Catholic parish church. A chapel was first recorded here in 1337. The foundation stone for the present church was laid in 1654 by abbess Anna Salomee. The construction started in 1717 and was finished in 1725. Consecration in 1722 by the Cologne suffragan bishop Johann Werner de Veyder. In the extension, added in 1977, there is a Gothic silver cross with a precious relic of the Holy Cross. Until today the old church tower is the landmark of Bad Breisig.
