St. Paul's Church was consecrated by Bishop Murray on Sunday, August 18th 1822.
Originally the building was a plain rectangle with a flat ceiling as can be seen from the satellite image there have been several extensions over the years. First in 1830 the West Gallery was erected. Then in 1844 the North and South Wings were added. The present porch entrance from the Market Place was completed in 1938. Lastly the integral Church Hall and ancillary rooms were opened in 1972.
