Located at the Siskiyou County Historical Society Outdoor Museum are a number of historical static displays including relocated buildings, agricultural, logging and gold mining equipment including two ore cars (one of the ore cars is in bad condition and not worth waymarking separately). One ore car is located inside a make-believe mine entrance to give visitors an impression of what gold mining may have been like back in the days. Yreka was founded on the discovery of gold in the mid 1800s.
