This trailhead is located along the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive in Great Basin National Park. Large parking area with interpretive kiosk and rest rooms. The trailhead provides access to four trails: Island Forest Trail (0.4 miles round trip), Alpine Lakes Loop Trail (2.7 miles round trip), Bristlecone Grove Trail (2.8 miles round trip) and Glacier Trail ( 4.6 miles round trip.
The trailhead also provides access to the summit of Wheeler Peak via a connection to the Summit Trail from the Alpine Lakes Loop Trail (8.6 miles round trip).
