Isaiah 49:15 - Our Lady, Star of the Sea and St. Maughold Church, Ramsey, Isle of Man - Etched in Stone on Waymarking.com

The Stone is on the wall at the far end of a paved area in front of the Church which was the site of the previous Catholic Chapel in Ramsey.

The inscription is in white lettering on a dark grey stone which has a wooden frame.

The inscription reads as follows:

"Even if others forget you, I will never forget you: I have carved your name on the palms of my hands;" Is. 49.15
Please pray for the souls of all the departed


In the King James Bible this quote seems to be the end of Is. 49.15 and the start of Is. 49.16:

15. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, ...

they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

16. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;...

thy walls are continually before me.
