The present chapel occupies the old Primitive Methodists Hall/Sunday School which was converted to serve as a church in 1970. This building it appears from architect's drawings to have been designed by T. Rees architect.
The Sunday School ('a most beautiful building') was erected in 1898 on the opposite side of the road down from the chapel.
