Schon 1829 gab es in der Paniglgasse 17 ein Gasthaus "Goldenes Sieb". Später wurde es mehrfach umbenannt und in neuerer Zeit versuchte Andrew Demmer das Lokal als "High Tea" wieder zum Leben zu erwecken. Einige Jahre später musste das Lokal aber geschlossen werden. Geblieben ist das große goldene Teesieb mit der Aufschrift "DEMMER TEE".

Already 1829 there was a restaurant "Goldenes Sieb" (golden strainer) in Paniglgasse 17. Later, it was renamed several times and in recent times Andrew Demmer (Austrian founder of a tea trading company) tried to revive the place as "High Tea". A few years later it had to be closed. The large golden tea strainer with the inscription "DEMMER TEE" remained.
