The Dhoon School Bell hangs above the oldest part of the School Building.

There is a brass plaque mounted on the front wall of the School building next to the Bell Rope which is inscribed as follows:
THIS BELL WAS HUNG TO COMMEMORATE
THE MILLENNIUM
AND WAS FIRST RUNG BY
SIR CHARLES KERRUISH OBE, LLD(hc),CP.
A FORMER PUPIL OF DHOON SCHOOL
27th MAY 2000
