From the developing patina, this appears to be a copper cap on a steel pipe driven into the ground. Stamped on the cap is U.S. General Land Office Survey 1914. The middle is divided into quadrants. The upper left contains T1S over S2. The upper right is marked R8E over S1. The lower left is S11 and the lower right is S12. The marker is near a cattle corral and watering station. The marker can be found approximately .94 miles south west of the western edge of U.S. 60 at the middle of its intersection with Superstition Mountain Drive at an angle of 265.26 degrees. It is 97 feet northwest of the water tank at an angle of 343.79 degrees.
