Vita:
Hans-Joachim Frielinghaus was born in 1937 in Stettin. After a study of philosophy, he studied at Gustavs Seitz University of Fine Arts in Hamburg from 1967 to 1970. 1970-1971 he studied at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1976-1977 he received a scholarship for the Villa Massimo in Rome. Hans Joachim Frielinghaus lives and works as a designer and sculptor in Hamburg. Plastic works are found mainly in the Hamburg area, including at the university.
