[EN] The town hall of Calais is located in the heart of the city.
A building that was owed to the architect Louis Debrouwer who worked as a precursor using reinforced concrete.
Its construction symbolizes the union between two towns: Saint-Pierre and Calais, dating from 1885.
The site, begun in 1911, was interrupted in 1914 by the war. The restoration of the damage and the completion of the work delayed until 1925 the inauguration of the building, again damaged in 1940.
This monument, whose general architecture is inspired by the neo-Flemish style with Tudor-inspired details, proudly raises its 75-meter belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005.
