[EN] "The special feature of the Traumschleife Murscher Eselsche are the many narrow paths leading up to the Baybachtal and up again and down historical sites. Downhill you go over the historical mine path along the Theresia pit, upwards over Haacks Köppsche, the former Lönspark in the Morshausen community forest.
The hiking trail was rated by the Deutsches Wanderinstitut with 86 points.
Author's tip
Morshausen is worth a small stay: the impressively renovated half-timbered houses "Finke", "Dinnes" and "Dommerscher" invite to the astonishment and the Schwengelbrunnen, probably more likely in the Hungarian Pussta.
The St. Lambertus Church as well as the old bakery, which now houses the Jakob-Kneip-Museum, are also worth a visit. At the edge of the forest, a natural monument that nobody can overlook, the Jakob-Kneip oak. The imposing tree is about 700 years old and has a stem circumference of more than 6 m. The Madonna in front of the oak was donated in 1951 by Jakob Kneip.
Finally, a stop at the Gasthaus Schmitt is recommended. The family business is a certified travel company and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2011. Directly next door is the house "Threse", the birthplace of Jakob Kneip. "
