Scenic Hike from Charlotte Pass to Mount Carruthers
From Charlotte Pass, elevation 1835 m, you take the main range track up to Mount Carruthers, seventh-highest peak in mainland Australia (2145 m). On the way, the Blue Lake.
Blue Lake valley contains the best developed glacial features in the alpine area.
Carruthers peaked was named after Joseph Hector McNeil Carruthers, the then minister for lands, who later went on to become the premier of NSW
