This bell is on a short pole and is on display with several tractors behind this large, family-owned fruit stand. The bell fits well into the rural theme of the setting as a "come to dinner" bell. I could perceive no markings, either letters or numbers, on the bell; which has its original yoke, but is mounted on a home-made stand attached to the pole.
It is a fascinating story as to how the Robert Is Here fruit stand got started in 1959 when Robert was only 6 years old. The story is too long to explain in this Waymark. Suffice it to say that one of the main reasons it grew so large, besides the obvious quality of its produce, is the fact that anyone going to Everglades National Park must pass through the corner where this business stands.
