Pub Sign for the Raven Hotel, Ballaugh, Isle of Man shows a single black feather on a light gold background which matches the colour of the exterior of the Pub itself.

The Pub Sign claims that the Pub was established in 1740 and there is a documentary evidence to suggest that this Pub was formerly called the North Inn the name changing in the 1860's.

The Pub is close to the Ballaugh Bridge on the TT course and the road to Ravensdale runs virtually due south by the side of the Pub. The link below shows motorcycle racers 'jumping' over the bridge with the Raven Hotel in the background.

The raven is a bird strongly associated with Norse mythology, and appears in numerous place names on the island. It also appears o the Island's coat of arms.
