I was caught taking pictures of the sign on the front door when I was asked, "Why are you taking Pictures?" Now how many people know about Waymarking, so I usually ask are you familiar with Geocaching? That was no by the look on her face.
The assistant pastor joined the conversation and I was invited inside. He was so very nice, I wanted to attend his church, but the road was calling us to move on.
The Powers Creek Community Church is part of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada and an independent denomination.
It must be a lively group as there were drums, guitars and keyboards with a very nice sound system. There are approximately 180 active members of the church who attend regularly.
While I was there I noticed a basket of food items awaiting delivery to the local food bank. Being a strong supporter of local food banks, I was "inspired" to give a donation. "God moves in "mysterious ways" was added after the "Thank you".
