The Richland School Bell is on display at the central large picnic pavilion (available for parties) at the Ranching Heritage Center, on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock TX.

An interpretive sign nearby reads as follows:

“RICHLAND SCHOOL BELL
c. 1890-1900

The C. S. Bell company of Hillsboro, Ohio manufactured this steel Belfry Bell. Though originally designed for use as a church bell, it was installed in the first school in Richland New Mexico, a small agricultural community, and used from the time that the school opened in 1909 until it burned in 1925. The bell survived the fire, but was never again used in Richland. It was acquired by a rancher who lived outside Portales New Mexico, where the bell was used as a signal and dinner bell until 1947. The bell weighs approximately 650 pounds and can be heard for miles when rung."
