Carillon Neumarkt

Das Glockenspiel hing ursprünglich an der Fassade der heutigen Altstadtpassage. Damals war die Passage noch das Kaufhaus der Mitte (KDM), im ersten Stock betrieb die Lammsbrauerei eine Wirtschaft. Als NKD als Nachfolger des KDM aufhörte und das Gebäude leer stand, zog das Glockenspiel vom Unteren an den Oberen Markt um. Das Glockenspiel hat 18 Glocken und wird jeden Tag um 12 Uhr gespielt.

The Carillon originally hung on the façade of today's Old Town Passage. At that time the passage was still the department store of the center (KDM), on the first floor the lamb brewery operated an economy. When the NKD succeeded as a successor to the KDM and the building was empty, the belfry moved from the lower to the Upper Market. The clock has 18 bells and is played every day at noon.
