The bell sits at the top of a steel gantry & is protected by a galvanised iron roof with wooden sides. It's operated by a chain which extends down the middle of the gantry. The bell was donated by Charles R. Blaxland of Wollun in affectionate remembrance of his late wife, Fanny Blaxland (nee Marsh) of Salisbury Court Uralla in 1921. The plaque recording his donation is on the wall at the entrance to the church.
