CARSWELL, Linda - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, after a courageous struggle with cancer, on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the age of 67 years.
She is survived by her loving husband George of 25 years, 2 daughters and two sons and five grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers.
Linda was a self employed hairdresser in Hamilton. She met and married George and together they came west to open the first Tim Horton’s stores in Kelowna. They retired in 1993 to pursue golf, travel, bridge and gourmet cooking. She was one classy lady with a dazzling smile, a loving wife, mother and doting grandmother.

WILDFIRE COMMEMORATIVE PARK
Wildfire Commemorative Park was created to honor and celebrate the individuals and agencies who came together during and after the 2009 West Kelowna Wildfires to provide aid where needed.
The District of West Kelowna appreciates the TREE CANADA grant provided to reforest this area and a small area in Pebble Beach Park (Whitworth Road) near the burn area on Goats Peak.
The District thanks GORMAN BROTHERS LUMBER and WISHBONE INDUSTRIES LTD. for the generous contributions to this commemorative park.
