The 4,50 meter high "Sweet Brown Snail" snail sculpture stands on the public square, which connects the three monument-protected halls of the transport center of the Deutsches Museum, the Bavariapark with the beer garden and the former congress hall.
The snail, a project by the American artists Jason Rhoades and Paul McCarthy, is ironic in contrast to the dream of speed, but at the same time embodies the longing for unlimited mobility for the exhibition objects in the traffic center.
