You simply can't miss this tower, as it's visible from miles away here on the Blackland Prairie. If there are significant differences from the data sheet in 2017, it's that the legs are silver, both sides of the tower feature the school mascot, a tiger, and there really isn't a ball anymore: It's more of a cap and pipe, although older photos clearly show the ball.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1957 (RLE) THE STATION IS CENTRALLY LOCATED IN BLUE RIDGE. A 4-LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE SUPPORTS THE TANK PROPER. THE LEGS ARE PAINTED BLACK AND THE TANK IS PAINTED SILVER. IT HAS AN OVER-ALL HEIGHT OF 135 FEET AND THE BALL AT THE APEX WAS THE POINT OBSERVED UPON. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE ROAD 78 AND FARM ROAD 545 IN BLUE RIDGE GO WEST ON FARM ROAD 545 FOR 0.1 MILE TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT.
